As a father-son family practice, Skale Dental Professionals take pride in building long-lasting professional relationships and maintaining ongoing family involvement. Mollie Skale, daughter of Dr. Darryl Skale and sister to Dr. Ryan Skale, has transitioned from her role as Registered Dental Hygienist to serve as our Treatment Coordinator, continuing the family’s commitment to personalized patient care.
Talia
Operations Manager
Talia came to the office wise beyond her years. She has been trained in dental practice, and it is evident. Talia is Dr. Skale’s primary clinical assistant but has recently taken on a greater role with our front desk and administrative team, particularly on the insurance side. She can do it all, with her strength being her commitment and work ethic.
Mollie Skale
Patient Advocate & Treatment Coordinator
Mollie is Dr. Darryl Skale’s oldest daughter and Dr. Ryan Skale’s younger sister. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in science and recently obtained her dental hygiene degree from the College of Lake County, graduating as the Valedictorian of her class. Mollie has been such a welcome addition to Skale Dental and has been overwhelmingly well-received by all patients.
As the office’s first dental hygienist, she has added a new element to the office, offering a fresh look at oral health. Having her is well overdue, as her presence, personality, and the quality of care she provides to the patients have been excellent. Mollie’s great energy and positive spirit give patients a sense of comfort and ease while in her dental chair. She offers the same great quality of care and personal attention to each patient that is provided by her father and brother.
Jocelyn
New Patient Coordinator & Invisalign® Coordinator
Jocelyn joined the Skale Dental family in 2016 as a part-time assistant. Her role within the office expanded quickly, as did our need for her great teamwork. She is now an integral part of our team, providing help with just about everything in the office. She has gained immense clinical skill in a short time through the experience of working with our great doctors and trained staff.
We are very thankful for our incredible team at Skale Dental Professionals in Northbrook, IL. We really enjoy working together, and we hope it shows through positivity and good energy when you visit the office.
Grace Hyun
Dental Hygienist
Grace Hyun is a dedicated dental hygienist who joined the practice in 2024. Originally born in Chicago and raised in Skokie, IL, she brings a unique blend of communication and clinical training to her work, with a Bachelor of Arts in English literature and an Associate Degree in dental hygiene. Grace is committed to staying current in the field through advanced continuing education, including the 3D Dentists Bootcamp, 3D Dentists Dental Hygiene, and the 3D Dentists Summit, and she is a proud member of the American Dental Hygiene Association.
Grace loves being part of patients’ wellness journeys and believes great care starts with listening, education, and encouragement. She enjoys getting to know people from all walks of life and creating a comfortable, welcoming experience that helps patients feel confident in their oral health, especially when they leave the office smiling. Outside of work, Grace enjoys spending time with family, learning new recipes, caring for her plants, and unwinding with a good movie.
Valerie Prunty
Dental Hygienist
Valerie is a dental hygienist at Skale Dental Professionals who joined the practice in 2024 and brings more than 30 years of experience caring for patients’ smiles. A Parkland College graduate (1994), Valerie has built her career around the rewarding balance of hands-on care, patient connection, and education. She also continues to sharpen her skills through ongoing training, including 3D Dental Case Acceptance, so she can help patients feel informed and confident about their next steps.
Valerie’s approach is centered on prevention and comfort. She loves getting to know patients personally, helping them feel at ease, and partnering with them to protect their oral health long-term. Valerie enjoys coming to work each day at Skale Dental Professionals in a family-owned environment where coworkers support one another with kindness and respect.
Outside the office, she can usually be found cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs, spending time with her nieces and nephews (including 13 great-nieces and great-nephews), and hanging out with her two dogs, Roxy, an English Bull Terrier known for stubborn “zoomies”, and Gracie, a shepherd mix who happily keeps watch for squirrels from the yard.
Chrissie Behrens
Dental Hygienist
Chrissie Behrens joined the practice in 2023 and values the opportunity to build trust and comfort with every patient she meets. One of the most important, rewarding aspects of being a dental professional for Chrissie is the patient interactions. Each patient brings a different story, and she appreciates the chance to not only improve their oral health but also build trust and comfort in what can often be an anxious experience. Being a dental professional allows her to combine her passion for helping others with her attention to detail and commitment to health.
Chrissie attended Westosha Central High School in Salem, WI. She earned a vocational diploma in dental assisting from Gateway Area Technical College and completed her Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences in Dental Hygiene at MATC in Milwaukee, WI. She has also completed continuing education courses, including 3D Dentists Dental Hygiene Bootcamps, 3D Dentists Summit, 3D Case Acceptance, Invisalign Team Training workshops, and The Connection in Oral Health & Systemic Health. Chrissie is affiliated with the American Dental Hygienists Association and the Lake County Dental Hygienist Society.
One of the things Chrissie truly enjoys about coming to work each day is the incredible team she gets to be a part of. Her coworkers create an environment that is supportive, positive, and motivating.
Born in Libertyville, IL, and raised in Wisconsin, Chrissie is a proud mom of two daughters. Her 14-year-old won her 14’s division in beach volleyball last summer, and her oldest daughter graduated Summa Cum Laude from DePaul University. Outside of the office, Chrissie loves cheering on her daughter, who plays volleyball, traveling, and exploring new destinations. At home, she has two kitties named Izzy and Socks.
Kelly
Front Desk Coordinator
Kelly is a welcoming presence at the front desk at Skale Dental Professionals, where she serves as Front Desk Coordinator. Born in Lake Forest and raised in Libertyville, IL, Kelly brings a deep sense of community and care to her role. Her background is uniquely well-rounded, with experience in insurance, childcare, and healthcare. After graduating from Libertyville High School, she earned her insurance brokerage license and later obtained her CNA/PCT certification from the Samland Institute, working in a neurosurgeon’s office for several years. Kelly joined Skale Dental Professionals in 2025 and is passionate about helping patients feel informed, supported, and confident in their dental care, especially as they experience truly life-changing smiles.
What Kelly enjoys most about her role is connecting with patients and sharing in their happiness as they see the results of compassionate, high-quality dentistry. She values being part of a team that genuinely cares and takes the time to educate patients about their overall oral health. Outside of the office, Kelly owns a small business and loves crafting, creating, traveling, and spending time with her family. She and her husband, Steve, have been married for 25 years and are incredibly proud of their two sons, Jacob and Jackson. At home, Kelly is also kept smiling by her two dogs, Nanook the Husky, who loves to howl, and Thor the German Shepherd, the biggest, sweetest baby of the family.
